Should I Use A Serum? September 25 2013
Ok you may not be using one but you should... I have only just got into the habit religiously myself and it has made a difference!
They may not be a new product as they have been around for ages but many of us don't really feel the need to add them into our routines. More recently serums are gaining more popularity as technology is evolving and these add in products really do work wonders. Serums are high concentrations of certain active ingredients. They differ from moisturisers as they are formulated to penetrate deeply into the skin to deliver key ingredients whereas a moisturiser helps keep skin hydrated and provide a protective barrier. The molecules in serums are smaller than those found on a moisturiser, which means it can deposit ingredients deeper into the skin.
Serums are generally used after cleansing and toning but before your moisturiser, and don't forget to incorporate your neck and décolleté in your facial routine! Depending on which serum and brand you choose results can be immediate but most require about 4 weeks of consistent use for visible results. Try Aromatherapy Associates Rose Radiance Skin Serum (renew rose intensive skin serum)
I am addicted to mine now, try one if you haven't yet!!
